256399 2004-07-29 09:30:00 Hi,

In Internet Explorer, when I type in a URL, it goes to this site:
bbbdcd.outhost.info or whatever site you have tried to put in. I think this is a bug or something imbedded in IE, and am not sure how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated. I am using Firefox for the time being.

256400 2004-07-29 09:37:00 Download "Search and Destroy" or Ad-Aware and run a complete scan. Remove all items it finds... reboot, then re-test and let us know whether it has fixed the problem.

Your computer may have some form of Spyware on it. Give Ad-Aware (www.lavasoft.de/) and Spybot- Search and Destroy (http:) a run. If that dosen't work, try a Virus scan. AVG (http://www.grisoft.com) is a free one.

What happened is that IE has got hijacked by software that you install or installed with out you knowing or by a website you visited

You can find out more about this under this FAQ - pressf1.pcworld.co.nz (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz) look for 02 - Hijacked homepage
