| 256838 | 2004-07-31 03:22:00 | Hi Growly, Ive just compiled the latest development release of KDE (3.3.0_beta2) and really like it. However, I noticed immediately that the fonts were butt ugly and looked like they could do with a Makeover. I checked my settings in Firefox and it was fine, truetype and anti-aliasing enabled, but they were still disgusting! I went into the Control-Center (kcontrol) --> Fonts Tick "Use Anti-Aliasing for Fonts" My fonts default to Helvetica (10 & 12pt) for most of it. Restarted Firefox and it was much more visually appealing! I can really sypathize when you say you were put off, because you are totally right in saying that and I fully agree - I just dont put up with it ;-) Hope this helps Chill. |
