257065 2004-08-01 02:25:00 Recently it was necessary for me to re-install Windows ME. Using the system restore disks I was able to load all programes except this one.
Using the System Restore...Back-up of applications disk, when I attempt to load "Phone Tools Ver 2.16a" I receive the following error message

"Setup has caused an error in USER.EXE. Setup will now close."

Restarting my computer does not correct the error.

257066 2004-08-01 03:49:00 In all my ignorant wisdom - it's cause you have ME.

IMHO, it's because of some deep rooted problem that you probably got from installing it - maybe corrupt disks. (Silently, they dont tell you).

257070 2004-08-01 07:20:00 This error can be caused by having a screen resolution selected, higher than the programme supports,
try selecting 800 x 600 and see if it will install.

Also disable your Antivirus before installing.
