256872 2004-07-31 05:43:00 I have recently installed a internal modem, only it is registered as a "PCI Communication Device". Windows 98 doesn't seam to have any drivers for it. Is there a "generic" driver anywhere? markk-b (5948)
256873 2004-07-31 06:17:00 You need to download the correct driver for the modem .

There are many chipsets, and many manufacturer implementations of those chipsets .

Generic is therefore not as likely to work, if indeed you could get lucky enough to get the right chipset .
