| 257419 | 2004-08-02 03:54:00 | Hi I have a Compaq Pressario with DVD+RW drive, and Compaq 15" LCD display. Whenever I watch a movie the picture has excessive contrast - so much that it can't be adjusted out on the display controls. I thought it might be the program that I use - Intervideo Win DVD 4 - but I tried Real Player and Windows Media Player but they were the same. Everything else I do on the computer looks fine. I also have a laptop that I can play movies on and it works fine. Help please John |

You will have to go into your vidcard settings and find the video overlay controls and raise the gamma there. Right click on Desktop and select properties then go to the settingas Tab then click on advanced (bottom right button) then find the video overlay controls under one of the tabs there. It may be under the settings for the vidcard tab. |
