257551 2004-08-02 06:54:00 Try ipconfig /all Davesdad (923)
257552 2004-08-02 06:58:00 yeah i've tried all the variations on that one.
thanx though, says that it does not recognize ipconfig as an internal or external command, operable program, or batch file

257557 2004-08-02 11:03:00 Have a browse around www.download.com, I'm sure there are plenty of programs that can do that!

Though the fact that you can't do those is a concern...

257558 2004-08-02 13:02:00 Hi Jupi8,

If ipconfig /all isn't working for some reason, you could access the share from another computer and then arp -a to discover the MAC.

Is the Ethernet adapter working?

The easy way with "real" cards is to look at the label on the card.

If you have a "Live CD" Linux, the MAC address will be displayed when the card is found during the boot process.
