| 258009 | 2004-08-04 01:46:00 | Hi guys and girls - this morning when checking my emails at home I came across one that refered to an eBay auction for a Nokia phone - being of no interest to me I hit the delete button. What happens next is that my PC just stops - mouse still works but you cant maximise anyother programs. After a Ctrl-Alt-Del and end task - I restsrted OE and thought I'd be clever and sneak up on this email by selecting it with some others - wrong - as soon as it is highlighted its back to Ctrl-Alt-Del to get out of the program. Have been told it might be a case of maybe the big "F" for the "C" drive.. Hope not - any ideas would be great thanks |

| 258015 | 2004-08-04 23:21:00 | My guess the reason for for freezing is " big or unreconsied file attachment" thats why disabling preveiw pane enabled you to delete it. Enabling preveiw pane is esstainally opening the email, thats why alot of people disable it, because if a virus comes in and you click on it, with the preveiw pane enabled you may have just infected your PC. | beama (111) | ||

| 258017 | 2004-08-05 00:59:00 | Hi As i said in another post, mailwasher would be a good program to use to effectively filter unwanted mail this way, you can preveiw it offline, before downloading onto your comp. and delete or process mail as necassary. beetle |
