258104 2004-08-03 13:27:00 Does your computer run?

While i would say a 400w is easily enough,Your going to know better then anyone,If you posted from your comp then we can assume its running fine.

If you posted from another comp,then.......Booowaa.......Right between the eyes.

The MSI 9800pro is probably more like the 9800xt in the xbit article.
What MB CPU and brand of PSU do you have?

258107 2004-08-03 22:16:00 Theres no such thing as a MSI Radeon 9800XT, you've probably got the MSI Radeon 9800PRO with the R360 core. This card is detected in windows as 9800XT but runs at the same speeds as a 9800PRO.

What brand of PSU do you have? If its a cheap and nasty brand such as hyena then its time for an upgrade, but if its a quality brand such as Enermex or Antec then you'll be fine. Did you remember to plug in the floppy power plug just above the HSF? If you didnt that would be the cause of any stability problems.

258108 2004-08-04 00:16:00 The MSI card is sold in other markets with a bios change as a 128MB XT so it's use of 12V and 5V rails is possibly more like XT than Pro. PaulD (232)
258109 2004-08-04 06:28:00 What did you mean by "remember to plug in the floppy power plug just above the HSF?".
do you mean power cable that came with the card or the floppy drive power cable.
The pc boots ups but crashes in some games.

You might need some better cooling. Are you overclocking this card?

258111 2004-08-04 08:20:00 Have you connected any power cable to the card? PaulD (232)

The power cable/floppy power cable that comes with the hard plugs into the floppy header thats just above the HSF. Without this you will be experiencing instability.
