| 257802 | 2004-08-03 03:24:00 | hi guys for the last couple of years, i been using this scanner.. because i just use it as basic use.. anyhow when i was first brought it couple of years ago, the first instance, the USB is doesn't recognize by the computer. but it is working fine with the parallel port, so therefore i just work along with parallel port.... i have use the software from the HP website already and i am currently using Windows XP.... any suggestion what happen??? thanks for the help Jacky |

| 257803 | 2004-08-03 05:28:00 | Jacky, I suspect you might want to decide that the scanner has paid for itself. :D A quick look at Google using "scanjet 5200c XP" shows that there are a number of unhappy people who have tried very hard to make the scanner work with XP. I assume you have tried it on a USB port with the new driver. If that doesn't work, it might be cheapest to get a scanner guaranteed to work with XP. |
