| 257626 | 2004-08-02 20:24:00 | they are partly the same, cat5 is the type of cable you are using it is a 6core cable used for ethernet. You can have two variations of this cable, a straight thru for connecting a computer to a hub or router. Or a cross-over which has the transmit and receive swapped over at one end of the cable, you can use this to connect two computers together directly. | Budda (2736) | ||
