| 258036 | 2004-08-04 09:49:00 | im pretty sure he didnt say he was using stolen goods, a virtual drive can be a good way to organise your game collection, and it means that you can run all your games without having to change cds every 30 seconds, from my interperetation of his posts, he is saying that because of the virtual drive programs being installed he is unable to run those games without creating images of them. I would in this case, if you are not happy with creating images of those games, go and get a cracked exe, also known as a no-cd patch, which should let you run those games without the help of a virtual drive program | lagbort (5041) | ||
| 258037 | 2004-08-04 09:56:00 | oh well I should explain a little, the pirated games were pirated versions of the games I had already, they are the only ones that will work if a crack was installed, not the originals without the crack, i didnt know it was illegal?? anyways, they will only work, not the originals that I got with my vid card, and also doom 3 that i bought. Of course I dont wanna use them, as I want to run my orignals... -( I dont have any virtual drives or anything, and I reinstalled everything, and reformatted and only installed windows and doom 3, but it still does it... I guess Ill have to go to the store... =( firstly my vid card went, and now the cd rom... |

| 258038 | 2004-08-04 10:00:00 | yeah lagbort, that is the only way that the games would work, before, but now I got doom 3, doom 3 wont work, so I uninstalled everything, even windows, reformatted, but still it wont work now... =( tasukette onagaishimasu! | Malvado (5923) | ||
| 258039 | 2004-08-04 10:10:00 | have you tried a cracked exe? | lagbort (5041) | ||

Give it a try without you Vitrual Drive. However, you'll find that it could simply be the naming of the drives that is at fault. |

There seem to be a lot of > these illegal-action related questions going on at > the moment. Thats almost funny,Computer shops are not the police and not interested in what legality of software is on the machine,they didnt install it,don't own it and have no right to go snooping to see who the programs are registered to,and will not give half a seconds thought as to where it came from,If the responcibilty was their's then they would have to report 99.2 percent of machines they get near. Seeing as your on a high horse over it,can you say that no comp in your house has a single copyrighted file on it? No music tracks,no photo's off the net? |
