257817 2004-08-03 21:49:00 Im sorry Elephant - Maybe its too early in the morning but I dont understand that last post of yours?

Linux is working fine here (Except the TV Tuner Card, hence the reason for having WinXP), no other problems. Fast as hell, optimised, never crashes.... Battery life lasts 45 mins longer in Linux when idle over Windows when idle...

Thanks! Much appreciated! I'll take a look now and let you know how I get on :-)

257821 2004-08-04 03:55:00 Well, its working.....

I removed the USB hubs etc and so there was nothing USB-related in the Device Manager.

Clicked "Scan for Hardware Changes" and it picked it all up but there was still the same error.

Then I remembered that the Webcam that's built into my laptop lid was a "USB Device", so I removed the device, removed anything else USB related and hit "Scan for Hardware Changes". It picked up all the hubs and everything else first and then lastly I had to reinstall drivers for the Webcam. Its been fine since!

Im not burning backups off my External 120GB USB2.0 HDD at 4x to DVD-R (External Optorite DD0201 DVD+/-RW) at the same time as re-encoding a DVD on the external 120GB and its going fine! Im happy once again....

....Now to just get the TV-Tuner card going in Linux.

*Chill goes off to the Zoran driver website

Thanks again

Chill.
