| 257696 | 2004-08-02 23:27:00 | Have recently purchased new computer with XP Home preinstalled. Is there any problem with installing XP Pro Upgrade which I have on my old computer? | DB4ME (5967) | ||

If it did activate (due to the long period since it was last activated) then you would be unable to re-activate it on the old PC. The licence is for one copy, on one PC. But if the old PC is scrapped, or the OS is removed its fine. You may need to ring Microsoft and explain if it fails to activate, and get a manual code. |
