| 258241 | 2004-08-04 20:41:00 | Yes me again - and this time I'm plainly stupid. :p Opening Outlook Express 6 (WinME, P2 355) my emails open automatically when you click on it. With the advent of the problems/virii these days, I would like to change the settings so that the email stays closed until I decide to click on it and open it - that way I can delete unknown spam without running the risk of inadvertently causing me some grief. I fiddled around on OE settings but can't seem to find the @#$%^& setting that will do the above for me - and therefore the stupid comment. The FAQ's and a search did not really give me an answer. :( Thinking of the above and certain malware problems I had in the past, I'm certain this is the way the @#$%^&'s got onto my PC. :8} Thanks from an old, confused geezer Sarel |

| 258245 | 2004-08-04 23:22:00 | You can put a Preview shortcut icon on your Toolbar to quickly toggle the preview mode after deleting the unwanted emails. Right-click the toolbar and choose Customize. | tommy (2826) | ||
| 258246 | 2004-08-05 00:47:00 | Hi ya, Just a suggestion here but..... Maybe you should download something like mailwasher to filter your emails a little better and delete them this way before they are on your system? you can preveiw them in mailwasher as well, and then process them or delete them as you wish, quite a few people here use it. beetle |
