258130 2004-08-04 12:34:00 It just occurred to me,

Could this be a AGP voltage problem?

Maybe one of the more technically savvy F1'ers can assist with this.

You might have a slight fluctuation in the AGP voltage supply... that is power to the AGP slot.

I 'm not sure.... I could be guessing but definitely worth a look into.

258131 2004-08-04 12:54:00 Just a quick question?

What is the exact Gecube model number for you card, I've been to their site and there in NO 9600XT Platinum Edition... there is an Extreme Edition is this what you have.

They do have a Radeon X800 XT Platinum Edition though.

There was an article I read about voltage modding but I can't remember which model ATi card it was.

cheers

258132 2004-08-04 22:53:00 Volt modding a GFX card is quite different to playing with the AGP voltage. Volt modding increases the voltage to the core and/or the ram allowing for higher overclocks e.g just like when u increase the vcore on a CPU.

When you install a ATI card after using a nVidia card its a good idea to run a program to completely remove the old drivers. nVidias drivers are very sly and if you only remove them through the control panel they wont be completely removed. Go over to Guru3D (www.guru3d.com) and download dentonator destroyer. It sounds very strange that nothing will show untill windows. Have you got the card properly installed? Are you using CRT or DVI?

I am using CRT, and have also tried Dvi.
Will try that program later, as he is using his comp atm.
