259001 2004-08-07 01:06:00 WFTWE is a little late appearing this weekend:

Cunctation

Delay .

Sorry it was cunctated, being an occasional cunctator (*cough* procrastinator :8}), I had an urgent matter to deal with last night .

Cheers

259003 2004-08-07 01:36:00 Billy, could you give some assistance with the pronunciation please.

259004 2004-08-07 02:08:00 I daren't Murray.:D

This word can be misheard sooooo easily.

If you have any doubts about your elocution, just pop down to the jug-throwing bar at the Onehunga Tavern (or your nearest equivalent watering hole), sidle up behind somebody who is ordering a particuarly large round of drinks and complain in a loud voice about the cunctator in front of you who is aggravating your thirst.

You'll soon find out if you said it right.

Cheers

P.S. Can I have your computer if you don't come back?

259005 2004-08-07 02:13:00 I doubt the outcome would be pretty no matter how the pronunciation was; the implied slur would bring results. metla (154)
259006 2004-08-07 02:25:00 I think I must follow R2's lead and demur.

Cheers Murray ;P

259007 2004-08-07 03:55:00 You would be quite safe at the pub frequented by old soldiers of Sergeant Colon's old regiment: the Duke of Eorle's First Heavy Infantry, the "Pheasant Pluckers" .

'We even had a marching song', he said . 'Mind you, it was quite hard to sing right . ' .
