| 258911 | 2004-08-06 13:05:00 | A while ago I had to use the recovery discs for my laptop as I had stupidly deleted all of the hidden files in the D: partition. I am 99.99% sure that that went okay and I reinstalled all of my programs including Microsoft Office 2003. Now, whenever I create/start a new Word/Visio/Powerpoint etc document using Micro$oft Office 2003 and save it I notice that I have similarly titled docs stored in the same folder as my currently being worked on document. The title is almost identical to the original save for a couple of characters or it is a 'temp' file -- (eg): myego.doc -$myego.doc (except the dash is actually curled not straight) Any ideas on why Office is doing this and if/how I can stop it?? |
