| 258590 | 2004-08-05 21:26:00 | Anybody had any experience setting this or any other mail server up?? We have 5 computers on a LAN, a DSL line with Static IP and a router hooked to a hub with all computers on it. We also have a domain name. What i would like to be able to do is: Set up our domain to redirect anything@domainname.com to our ISP mail server (which i have done) Then i want a "Mail Server" to POP our ISP and get all the mail, then each person on our LAN would then use there outlook, eudora ect to grab there own mail from the local mail server. Eg: harry would only get mail for harry@domainname.com ect. First of all is it possible to do this with the above program?? From what i have read it is but i just couldnt seem to get it to work. PS have also tried out trial versions of mail enable, argosoft and others but to no avail. |

Basically it's all there in the drop down menus at the top, I had no trouble working it out at a customers site by blind guesses (having never seen it before) in about 15 minutes. The memory is pretty hazy as it was several months ago, but it certainly isn't a terrible challenge. |
