| 258745 | 2004-08-07 23:48:00 | ctrl + alt + ~ to bring up your console timedemo demo 1 Run it twice. As Bruce says, there must be some caching going on as the second run is always smoother and faster. |

I tried it and it was pathetic but the actual game itself runs smooth as |

| 258747 | 2004-08-08 10:02:00 | Ok my timedemo results: 1280x1024 medium detail Test 1: 29.4fps Test2: 31.6fps 1024x768 medium detail Test 1: 42.7fps Test 2: 37.3fps 1024x768 high detail Test 1: 37.5fps Test 2: 42.8fps System specs: GA-7N400 Pro2 MB - FSB @ 400Mhz XP 2600+ Barton core @ 2290Mhz + Thermaltake Silent Boost K7 2x256Mb Geil Ultra Platinum PC3200 DC mode @ 2-3-3-6 Ati Radeon 9800pro 128Mb DDR (not overclocked for Doom3) + Zalman ZM80D-HP Catalyst 4.9 drivers (Doom3 Hotfix) 160Gb WD SE 8mb (OS) 120Gb 7200.7 8mb (Running game) Philips 109P40 19" monitor 3DMark03: 6514, PCMark04: 4183 Runs pretty nice on my system. Weird how the results on high settings are almost as good as the medium? Gameplay is a bit blah, always low on ammo. Just got the chaingun. ;) |

| 258748 | 2004-08-08 12:42:00 | Thought I would pop my timedemo demo1 results in too, but boy do they look sad against your scores :) System specs nForce2 XP3000 1024MB RAM 80GB SATA Fx5700 256MB nVidia 52.14 Drivers High 1024x768 10.5fps 800x600 15fps nVidia 61.77 Drivers High 1024x768 20.4fps 800x600 29fps System Specs nForce2 XP2600 1024MB RAM 120GB ATA ATi9700Pro 128MB ATi Catalyst 4.7 High 1152x864 27.3fps 1024x768 29.7fps 800x600 31.5fps I also checked for network traffic during play and there isn't a peep from anything during a two hour session. It is possible that the program could try and call home during installation, but I didn't check that out. |

I've been playing it at 1152 x 768, and bumped the settings up to high just to see what would happen on the old Ti 4400, and it still plays fine. I haven't even done time demo to see what it says the frame rate is but its plenty playable for me. |

| 258750 | 2004-08-13 10:07:00 | Just got it. Its bit slow :-(, but playable. Athlon 2100 512mb 64mb Radeon 9000pro Timedemo: 640x480, low quality: Timedemo of 21fps. The above cache tweak made no difference. |
