2004-08-06 09:40:00 | >AA 2X = 43.1 FPS Oh you swine. Still, I've been blasting away for a couple of hours and am pleasantly surprised by the performance on the Ti4400 128MB. The timedemo fps doesn't tell the whole story, since it's how it feels to play that really counts, and at 1024 x 768 medium quality settings it felt smooth and non-laggy. I bumped it up to 1152 x 768 and although the fps in time demo drops to 16, it didn't feel like 16fps when I was playing. Not as swift as at 1024, but still fine to play. So performance wise, it seems on par with Far Cry to me, and well within the bounds of enjoyable and good-looking play on my rig. And call me a wimp, but sometimes it just scares the heck outta me, like when this body dropped from the ceiling and a ghostly voice started whispering "hhheeelllllpppp me .... hhhhhheeeeellllpppp me ...": deadman.co.nz

2004-08-06 22:53:00 | Ok. Had a chance to test it now. AMD 3200XP 9700 pro 1 gig ram 1024 X 768 at high setting I get 37 FPs 1024 X 768 at Ultra setting 30.6 Thats with AA off. Its to bloody darke to see anything anyway lol. On the Ultra setting gameplay is not the smoothest. Still playable but to be honest I can see the diff between that and high. Of course it is hard to see the screen when I'm hiding under the bed, and the mouse doesnt quite reach but hey :)

2004-08-07 04:55:00 | Yup... love my chaingun, but plasma gun and chainsaw is pretty awesome too! I can't usually handle more than an hour of gameplay at a time in a dark room... I find my buttcheeks start cramping up from the stress of it all. Lo.

2004-08-07 07:37:00 | Specs: P4 3.0GHz (Northwood) 1GB Dual Channel DDR400 Radeon 9800Pro (No overclock) Results: Medium setting 1280x1024 = 31fps High setting 1280x1024 = 29fps Ultra setting 1280x1024 = 29fps Plays sweet as. Maybe ditching the onboard sound would release a couple more frames ;-)

2004-08-07 15:12:00 | Damn what are the console commands to get the FPS showing up so I can post my results? Played a few levels, pretty scary, but good fun. When do I get the good weapons? :| Sick of trying to kill these jumping beasts with a slow reloading shotgun...
