| 259915 | 2004-08-09 09:50:00 | I have Windows XP and an Asus CDRW drive. I can not write to CDs using Windows XP. I have checked the recording tab and this is ticked. I have unistalled my Nero 5 software but to no avail. I have even tried editing the registry as per Microsoft instructions. I can record using Nero 5 but not Windows XP or my Syncback backup software. Any suggestions how to write CDs or CDRWs using Windows XP? | paulb (1103) | ||

"can not write to CDs using Windows XP" is not totally descriptive, are there loud noises, flashing lights or an error message of any sort? Typically a window should pop up saying you have files waiting to be written to the CD. Clicking on the message should give the option of writing the files, if all associations are in place. |

Choose the recorder that you are using. Also in the Recorder menu there is a Medium Info option, go to that to find info on the disk that should be in your recorder drive. |
