| 259720 | 2004-08-08 23:41:00 | Thanks Rob. What does it come under in control panel? For the rest, the slowing down,it is coming up with there is more virtual memory required,it say it is providing that but does't seem to be doing anything,is it possibe for me to increase virtual memory? |

| 259724 | 2004-08-09 07:25:00 | Hi Tom, Putting monster sized images as desktop wallpaper will cause problems as you have found. If you wish to keep this wallpaper, try and resize it the resolution of your screen, probably 1024x768 pixels and then you should be able to use it as wallpaper without problems. If it is a bitmap (.bmp), also save it as a .jpg instead. You should be able to use MS Paint for this. Because of its file size, make sure you have closed down all unnecessary programs like IE/OE/Word etc first before trying to open the image in MS Paint, otherwise you may get low virtual memory errors again. |
