| 260319 | 2004-08-10 12:25:00 | Hi, I am after a decent web hosting package with: At least 100MB space At least 6GB per month bandwidth Preferrably < 250ms latency in NZ It's an NZ only e-shop so US doesn't matter - it can be in US or NZ MUST have ASP Highly prefer a dedicated IP Can be shared server Must be reliable About 50 e-mail addresses Must be able to support at least 3 different domains (www.jgih.com and www.thestagegame.com on same package) My price should be approximately $2-5 per month but I will consider higher for something of quality. If anyone has a nice fast connection with good bandwidth and a static IP, I could telehouse and provide my own server. A server New Zealand would be nice. This is too expensive through a company. A good one to base your searching on is GenuineASP. They are who I am with now and they provide all the above for only $2.95/mo except reliability. My sites have often gone down, and they own a total of 3 servers (which they rent from webhostingace.com). Not good. That's why I want to switch. With my current plan I can visit mail.jgih.com, cp.jgih.com, stats.jgih.com and of couse www.jgih.com. I think what those are is self explanatory. Oh yes, and I also want custom DNS records for my domains (which I get now). I also need FTP (user accounts and anonymous capability). www.jgih.com is an online shop while www.thestagegame.com is a much simpler game preview site (not quite done yet). George |

LOL! You will Not get that prize for a NZ web host! Anyway have a look at www.2day.com as they have ASP & a few other things ** Goes off & does more digging to fine other web hosts** |

As I thought it turned out to be expensive . $2-5 was in USD, but yes I did think $2 . 95 p/month for 100MB, 8gb traffic, unlimited email, win2003, 3 domains, unlim subdomains, etc was a bit too cheap to be trusted . And ALL their sites are on one server . I have no real need for NZ servers, so I think I'll spare the cost . Sorry Stu . I have found hundreds of great packages that don't have ASP - I guess because linux is free . Maybe I should convert . Is there anyone here who knows PHP and would be willing to convert www . jgih . com to it? |
