| 260252 | 2004-08-10 09:59:00 | Is there a New Zealand spell checker for Open Office Org? I have updated OOo 1.1.0, to 1.1.2 - using PCWorld CD (this month's), and it seems that USA spell check is the only one active. There are options for Australia and NZ, plus others, but choosing these results in an error message. The web site [ www.openoffice.org ] has lots of info but I cannot find anything on different spell checkers - i.e. English variations. Does anyone know? - Thanks. |

| 260254 | 2004-08-10 10:06:00 | Wouldn't ya know it..........found the answer after posting. :^O The download is located at: lingucomponent.openoffice.org Excerpts: Introduction ~~~~~~~~~~~~ en_NZ.dic has been altered to include New Zealand places, including major cities and towns, and major suburbs. It also contains NZ words, organisations and expressions. en_NZ.aff has had a few REPlace strings added, but is basically unchanged. NZ English Dictionary v0.9 beta - Build 06SEP03 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ NB This is an initial version, please check: lingucomponent.openoffice.org or www.girlza.com for a final version, after a little while (no hurry). .....Hmmmnnnnn.... will have to check to see if the final version is ready to download. |

I then downloaded the English NZ dictionary separately - it's not available on the dictinstall list. How do I get OpenOffice to recognise the NZ dictionary? |
