I 've used Seagate / Western Digital / Maxtor drives in the past and they all seem much the same IMHO , see ya , Mike W | KatiMike (242) | ||

I personally like Seagates because I've had very little trouble from them. Pay a few more $ for a 3 year warranty (you can get upto 5 year now from Seagate). Go for 7200rpm if that, cache size (commonly 2MB or 8MB) will depend on your usage as to whether it makes a whole heap of difference. I have no idea what would be a good racing wheel. We have XP Professional, probably use it more for games but I also download alot of music, (have 828Mb worth and growing). Only have 8Gb left and need to load on some DVD movies that I want. So as you can see I don't have much space to play with, and with all these big new games coming out I kind of need it. Thanks |

One is a backup for the other. Seagate warranties have gone from three years and down to one year. Recently you can get a five year warranty on a Seagate hard drive. Both are ATA with 8 Meg cache. I'm quite happy with them. |
