259938 2004-08-09 11:55:00 After reading Misty's thread about needing extra ram or not, I saw Growly mention about using msconfig to see what programmes were starting up etc.

I just had a look, and found these programs in the list:
fork great programme, and tea timer.

Have never heard of it before. I've disabled it now, because these programme sound a bit dodgy.

259939 2004-08-09 11:58:00 Have tried searching in google, and haven't been able to get any specific information about them, in terms of them being a computer-related thing. (the search yielded results like English Teas, and "North Fork Ranch and Fishing Lodge") caffy (2665)

Teatimer - Yes. It's part of the rel time defence against interlopers.

259944 2004-08-09 12:15:00 In the msconfig > startup window can you see what command is for the "fork" entry, it will be a location on your HD as to where the program is loading from, this maybe will give you a little more info as to what it is. Rob99 (151)
259945 2004-08-09 12:23:00 for the fork great program it says:

E:\PROGRA~1\Mode debug dupe\fork great program.exe

259946 2004-08-09 12:27:00 Unless someone else says otherwise turn it off, if you notice something dosent work or is missing afterwards turn it back on. Rob99 (151)
