| 260014 | 2004-08-09 23:35:00 | I contacted a NZ site,told them the website was a credit to the developers etc etc,had a brown nose,then mentioned that everytime i tried to navigate around the site a script poped up stating i should use internet explorer 4. I believe the site is built upon a downloaded template,so went to the trouble of showing them the tiny edit needed to remove the pop-up. All nice as pie and super smooth,or so i thought. Next time i visited the man in charge had replied that i was pretty much an anus,wasn't welcome at his site and that i was a pos for the battering i gave his site....and then went on to state that if i was some damn good i could have the site and then he wouldn't have to suffer elitist people such as myself knocking his hardwork. I then replied that i thought that his responce was bad form,that i never intended to knock the site and the slight tweak i suggested would enable users with different browsers to use the site,. Then he deleted my account from his site. Lmao. The Site www.aucklandatv.co.nz Feel free to mail him and tell him its not browser freindly. |

Have sent a very nice little note to them, I'll hold my breathe for ten seconds. Some more crap sites for your viewing pleasure courtesy of Ardvark (www.aardvark.co.nz), this one is the real doozy (www.mem.ac.nz) though, no way to email them unless you do a search for the hosts/builders. | 260020 | 2004-08-10 01:16:00 | John, that site is actually something to do with Canterbury University Engineering, the hosting/mastering of the site is the most pathetic and inept example I have come across, excluding overblown Flash. The AVT one will be feeling a bit picked on by now, thanks to Met's. As long as emails are polite and factually correct, they should be respected as valuable info by the sites owner, that's not an arrogant presumption is it? Na! thought not ;). Stu, isn't that the Domainz that were being a bit naughty re billing people for services they hadn't received or some such? Cheers Murray P |

Got a very nice reply from Steven, by the time I got home from a job this evening it was done, good fast site too, almost as fast as some of the machinery on display. Stu, Domainz are working on theirs, got 2 replies. Might pay to check it next week.
