I am hoping it will help some people, probably more the people find either an easier solution or those earlier on in developing knowledge of computer systems. It's quite possible more advanced people will have more advanced solutions, but here is the documention for an issue people should be aware of.
Please forgive me if i make any mistakes, but it is an attemptt o help.

Please note: Windows XP SP2 Update is due to be released on windowsupdate in the following weeks, what this means is some people may have a variety of consequences from this, one is documented below which is the loss, for some people of LAN Connectivity, as more configuration may be required with the new item of Control Panel > Windows Firewall

Like I just told my flatmate, a lot of people will go to windows Update [or other places] and get Windows XP SP2 then lose LAN Connectivity [Or others] and be like WTF!?!?!
I am hoping this will help such people

260446 2004-08-11 07:11:00 Thanks for that Captive. :-)

There is a thread down the page a bit, "FAQ #66 (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz)" whereby a Win XP SP2 FAQ was suggested. It might be a good idea for you to post this information in that thread as well, in order to keep things together.

Also, your link does not work due to the forum adding a space. This link (www.creightonbrown.geek.nz asp) will get people there.

260447 2004-08-11 07:17:00 Hey Susan :-) I actually renamed it for the link with the space, I am quite bad with my typos [too much caffiene :-p], i will make a few versions, just so people get through.

Iwill try adding it to that FAQ shortly after fixing the files etc
