| 260406 | 2004-08-11 05:49:00 | I'm using Firefox 0.9.2, which runs pretty well, Maybe a little slow to load pages compared with IE6? Anyway, I tried to download and install some extensions, and they all appeared to download, but I got no further feedback and there is no sign of them working. Is there a setting I have missed? Do I have to actually install them? This happened with all the extensions I tried. TIA Tony Bacon |

Are you going through the Tools>Extensions>Get more extensions option? I have sometimes found it took a little while for the download to start so you may have to try again later if nothing happens. Apart from that after you have clicked on the link to install them it is just a matter of waiting. They install themselves with some of them requiring a restart of Firefox in order to work. |

What version of windows do you have, and do you have the Java Runtime Environment? Check in C:\Program Files by default. If so, what version is it - you should be able to tell by the folder name (jre...) It'll be easier to explain once we know more... Cheers, S |
