Also xtra(your ISP) does not allow servers on there network, so I bet Xtra will be on to you very soon 2. When I go to your site but when I try & click on Daniel's Website this http://222.152.151.78/daniel/" target="_blank">wws.hopto.org I can get your first page the one that says welcome etc but when I try & click on Daniel's Website this http: come up in my browser I suggest you check the Daniel's Website link & if that does not help, try changing the port number from 5361 to port 80 or 8080 & see if that helps. |

| 260486 | 2004-08-12 09:49:00 | Thats stupid (not being able to run your own webserver) what harm is a small webserver going to do? Its not going to be used for a big website, just a small one so that i can get people to test new features without me uploading them to my main website. I can't believe telecom have done this. I am now considering changing from Xtra(Cost) to something else Daniel |

Infact, a quick squiz over my nearest octect shows that about 30 others are doing the same. Very very interesting... PS. Page still not loading! |

| 260490 | 2004-08-12 11:37:00 | It pays to contact your ISP just-in-case. ISP's have been known from time-to-time to portscan their customers to check for this. Regardless, I still host multiple ssh, http, vnc, ftp, and a jabber server from my place ;-) Then you have to ask yourself if sharing via the P2P networks is being a "server"?! |
