260841 2004-08-12 06:36:00 Hey i'm running a home network of just two PC's, one running Windows 2000 pro which connects to the internet and shares its connection with the other pc, the other pc i just upgraded to windows xp pro with SP1a but now the winxp pro PC wont connect to the internet anymore, does anyone have any ideas??? i've tried re-installing the OS but that doesn't work but its all correctly configured?? please help me Codex (3761)
260842 2004-08-12 08:09:00 Nope SP1a shouldnt break ICS. I would just check the LAN ip address on the XP machine and make sure the Workgroups are the same. And XP's subnet is 255.255.255.0 and pointing to 192.168.0.1 or whatever the ip is for the 2k PC. I would put the XP as the one with ICS. It maybe easier. Spacemannz (808)

260844 2004-08-13 06:08:00 There is no firewall enabled on both PC's at the moment so that i can try to get ICS working, my WINXP pro PC doesn't have a modem so i can't use ICS through the WINXP pro PC :( Codex (3761)
