1367343 2014-02-10 19:41:00 Just got this new HP Pavilion 15 notebook, updated to Win8.1, everything is work just fine. :)

Checked Windows update, under optional updates there's an item called, "Microsoft Wireless Router Module"

What exactly is this?

1367345 2014-02-10 20:15:00 If you connected a hdd to the router, and you've configured / set it up, according to someone else. This is what it's called (answers.microsoft.com) Speedy Gonzales (78)
1367346 2014-02-10 20:19:00 There's nothing connected to the router.

This is a brand new notebook, just updated to Win8.1 last night.

1367347 2014-02-10 21:44:00 Unless it's something similar to the netbook I've got here. It's got something called an un2420 mobile broadband module modem. I think this is a built in cellular phone module. And You can also put a sim in the bottom of it (there's a sim slot where you take the battery out)

Search for the model on the HP site and see if it's got something similar
