1349038 2013-07-16 06:35:00 I applied this job two months back but two months later as of last week I received a reply saying hi mate are you ready for a chat and my response after 8 hours was yes with my mobile number.
After two days of hearing no reply I decided to call the number which was left at the bottom of the email signature but a guy said the person who responded my email was on the phone so I sent another email
After two more days I gave another call and a guy says the person is in a meeting and I would need to text the person. I did send a text but no response
If you were looking for a job would you feel that this company's lack of response is worth ignoring?

1349039 2013-07-16 06:40:00 Plenty with no replies. Then the auto reply. Or that a auto reply in 3 months after or someone rang me like 6 months later when i was at my new job  Or those employers who makes the interview into an interrogation instead, didn't know why I got the interview seriously other than if they were just there to make up the no.'s  And all these were large private / govt companies ... My rule of thumb if no contact in 2 weeks I didn't make the cut whatever that is ... over or under qualified or not suitable in their mind in whatever way. Nomad (952)
1349040 2013-07-16 07:20:00 The 6 months one was asking me to come in for an interview :D Nomad (952)
1349041 2013-07-16 12:30:00 But I bet they wouldn't wait around for you! Agent_24 (57)
1349042 2013-07-16 19:57:00 Happens often these days, sometimes they don't bother even if you made it to interview stage.

I would give those people a miss, who wants to work for such rude people? If they are like that with a meeting time, think what it would be like with anything else there....

1349043 2013-07-16 23:53:00 With the amount of people seeking employment an employer is probably having to look through ~70 - ~100 CV's per position. Don't feel disheartened when they don't get back to you *instantly*. If they think you're a suitable candidate they will keep you on the "need to contact" pile, I assure you.
If you're not suitable then don't be surprised if they don't contact you - not only do they have to contact everyone they want to interview but the time taken to ring ~20 - ~40 not suitable candidates is very consuming.
Keep your chin up mate and if they've shown an interest in your CV/Application then they will get back to you.
Also not only do they have to go through all the CV's they still have to Manage their company - right?

1349044 2013-07-17 00:44:00 Have had it in the past. Sent applications into jobs advertised and didn't hear a thing at all. One time I sent an email to one of the companies I applied for and asked why they didn't reply, their answer was they send out letters toall that apply. Still didn't receive any reply. QW. (15883)
