When private companies are contracted by the govt to spy on your wife, your children.. Shades of East Germany....have we forgotten allready What about when this info is leaked, stolen, abused or used to get at you buy someone with a grudge. Yep , that all has happened in NZ.. the terrorists have won ?? |

Your word "buy" could have conotations with this new "Imported Goods" GST tax the Government are losing out on. We could use the East German method for traffic light jumpers and cellphones used while driving, boy have seen a lot of the latter. We have a dob u in for smokey chimneys' here in Christchurch at the moment, this smoggy business I put down to diesel trucks exhausts. Lurking. |

Secondly the proposed legislation is merely tidying up the law to make it clear that the GCSB is permitted to assist the police et al when requested to do so. In practical terms nothing much is changing but don't expect the media or the conspiricy theorists to let that get in the way of a good story. |
