| 1348477 | 2013-07-14 03:01:00 | But in essence we are keeping it nice.................. we've been hanging in there over the last few weeks - months wondering what the bloody hell is going on with pf1, we have been waiting for the axe to strike, and for them to originally say we are shutting you down on such and such a day we all prepared for the worst, and the family rallied together and made the new site in preparation of this one going down the gurgler. we have been hoping that our 10 years + for some hasn't been in vain...... that all the knowledge and wisdom people put in isn't going to be lost or wasted. that friendships and bonds people made are not going to dissapeer because this place gets the cut. it has lost that feeling of home, there is a lot of people who have moved on, there are some people you'd probably wish would move on, but this was a place to go for help no matter what it was from the fiddly PC prob's to making jam, muffins or how to rewire something and even to wood chippers, swimming pools and cows, and the odd tar-dis thrown in for good measure. we have done our best with out getting angry, we have hung in there and if we got a bit short or grumpy or scared of loss we have tried really hard to be polite........ nobody wanted to be banned, but some of us bit our tongues as best we could because we were trying and hoping this place would make it, well its seems to be still here, but a lot of people are not, it is fairly quiet, but really it doesn't not have the zest it once had, it has more naysayers and nitpickers than I've ever seen but it still has a few of the originals, who have battled over time but made peace and come back because the problems either aren't there or those problems did move on..... :D so please really we are trying to be nice......... give us a break..none of us see things the same way, we are still here, and yeah if it does turn to custard thanks to the boys everyone knows that we have a back up plan in place, that thankfully is not run by an Ozzy...no offense intended, just things I've been thinking for ages. and really thanks to the boys, the moderators and yeah i guess IDG cos we are lucky we are still here........... have a nice day all :) |
