1348274 2013-07-09 21:32:00 I thought Chorus were limiting VDSL2 in NZ to 50Mbit down, or did I get that wrong?

The maximum speed is mostly dependent on the connection profiles supported by the cabinet equipment - which in many areas the service providers have control over. So it's really up to the ISP to decide.

1348276 2013-07-10 00:18:00 I live <1km from the exchange, but I can't get VDSL. It must be a conspiracy!

Not all exchanges and cabinets have been fully upgraded to VDSL cards, it's possible you are in one of the areas with older hardware. The biggest majority are VDSL capable though. Just bad luck most likely.

1348277 2013-07-10 04:42:00 I can get VDSL2 where I live in little old Invercargill. Same price as I am paying for now. I placed my order last night. Bobh (5192)
