1367777 2014-02-16 23:15:00 I'm looking for a templated e-commerce solution to replace my MYOB website (which was fine for the first [free] year, but development is very slow and it is a bit inadequate: e.g. it doesn't manage stock levels).

I have had a look at Opencart ( www.opencart.com ), which appears to be quite comprehensive. Anyone have experience with this or can suggest an alternative 'free' package? Basically, I want to be able to display stock, accept orders and payment.

Why does it need to be free if it's for business? It should be a tax deduct able expense .

1367782 2014-02-17 04:45:00 The other option I could think of would be a Wordpress site with an ecommerce facilities something like this (wordpress.org). That would let you customise the front end of it either with point and click edits or by editing the code and have a fully editable (CRUD) back end database. Webdevguy (17166)
1367783 2014-02-19 04:31:00 Thanks everybody for the suggestions - think I might set up a local server and evaluate Opencart offline - it appears to have everything I need to create an e-commerce site in one package. wuppo (41)

Sounds like you'll need to install wamp or xamp to get things going :)
