| 1367645 | 2014-02-14 22:33:00 | Ok a mate has purchased an El-Cheapo HP Laptop (14-d005au) from Warehouse Stationary which will mainly be used for a Bit of browsing and E-Mails. Anyway, apart from the expected circus getting his head around Win 8.1 it will do all he needs. However, he wants to use it mainly as a desktop, with usb Keyboard & Mouse plus big screen. All is good, except he wants to be able to use it with the lid shut. Now in previous laptops I have owned that was a simple matter of making the correct choice in the CMOS setup. Problem is I can’t get into Setup upon boot. I’ve tried Del, F2, F12 noooop goes straight to Windows. Soooooooo, can anyone familiar with these new Laptops advise how to achieve the lid control? :thanks PS (The manual that came with it is less than useless.) |
