1367447 2014-02-12 03:50:00 I'm trying to figure out how to setup a Homegroup between two PCs.

One is on Win8.1 64bit and the other is Win7 32bit. Is this possible or does the bit thing and the different O/S have a bearing?

1367448 2014-02-12 03:51:00 Turn it on on one. Join it on the other then type in the password. What version of Win8 and Win7 are installed? Only Premium/Pro/Ultimate/Enterprise of Win 7 support it (you can only create one with one of these versions) Speedy Gonzales (78)

At the moment we have 8 computers running, all networked with OS's ranging from XP, Linux ( ubuntu), Server OS's and W7, W8.1 - All running standard networking.

1367450 2014-02-12 07:39:00 I still use the old workgroup as I have a couple of XP computers that don't have homegroup funcitonality gary67 (56)
1367451 2014-02-12 10:05:00 Same here. Even tho 3 of the PC's here support HG (Win7 / 8.1), I've disabled HG. And just share a folder. So I can copy whatever across the network Speedy Gonzales (78)
