1367308 2014-02-10 07:41:00 My wife was typing an email tonight when she yelled out that the computer was typing by itself. I observed that the email was being typed, lots of weird stuff, nothing recognisable but then it started to type our phone number...
From 1 number being wrong it was our number. I then disconnected the internet from the Mac and started Bitdefender which is installed. No results yet as it is still scanning.
It kept going aftert eh internet was disconnected, it then went in the subject line typing more nonsense.

Anyone know what this it? Malware? Virus?

1367309 2014-02-10 08:06:00 Poltergeist maybe ??

OK serious note, is the keyboard wireless ?

Did a search and apparently its not uncommon especially with wireless, and bad contacts or low battery power.

Energisers are slightly larger then some of these alcheapo batteries providing better contact. Had issues similar to marks with his mouse. Fixed with new battery

Could be trying to autofill, try turning it off. Not near the mac at the moment so can't remember how to

It won't be malware of any sort (there pretty much isn't any) more like you have a key that got stuck. I've never owned any anti virus for Mac, never used any either.

1367315 2014-02-10 08:39:00 Quite likely it might have been auto fill, that can pop up at the most unexpected time Webdevguy (17166)
1367316 2014-02-10 17:20:00 Don't forget to check if a voice recognition program has been activated. Jen (38)
1367317 2014-02-10 22:37:00 Had a problem similar with a wireless keyboard, kept typing as if a key was stuck, think it was low battery. Whenu (9358)
