| 1349326 | 2013-07-19 03:02:00 | www.whaleoil.co.nz So just where is the $ coming from for all the planned AK spend ups Ak council Currently paying $700,000 in interest, PER DAY Heres a scary headline "concerns debt will hit 200% of operating revenue by 2015" Not that they are overspending or anything, or that they are borrowing amounts that just cant be sustained. Last year the Nat govt was making noises about reigning in, out of control council spending & debt . That seems to have gone quiet now with the planned rail & road spendups. More debt . One step closer to Greece |

So really, we need a rates increase of 100% to get out of this mess. Put that in your Policy statements next election Len Brown. When debt is 200% of revenue , isnt it time to say this is starting to get out of control ? |
