260995 2004-08-12 14:15:00 I have been told that I am allowed to make 1 backup copy of my dvd movies, is this correct?, if so, how do you get around the copy protection?. I have a dvd r+w/ dvd record writer. is there a software program to get around this, I would like to make a backup copy of my most hard to get/ hard to replace dvd movies, or am I barking up the wrong tree, Im sure it was ok to make 1 backup copy? but then again, nothing is certain these days and I certainly dont want to abuse the copyright. any ideas would be gratefully appreciated.

thanks

Gary

260996 2004-08-12 14:19:00 No,your not allowed under NZ law to make a copy of any copywrited material.

Nor are we allowed to tell you how to do it.

In which case i can't tell you to do a google for dvdshrink.
