260848 2004-08-12 09:07:00 Hi all

I've just got Firefox 0.9.3 and set as default browser.

But I've found that PF1's autologin won't work. It will remember the password, but it makes me log in all the time. Which is annoying, as I can't see the threads where there are new replies. Has anyone else had this problem or found the fix?

Thanks, MM :)

260849 2004-08-12 09:11:00 Did you also remember to tick the box for autologin on the PF1 login page? Jen C (20)

I have also had a problem with login to Press F1 with Firefox, so now I am using IE to surf PF1 :(

260852 2004-08-12 09:39:00 Go to Tools / Options / Privacy and ensure that ticks are in the Saved Form Information, Passwords (remember passwords) and Cookies (enable cookies). Don't forget to click OK. ;-) Fire-and-Ice (3910)
260853 2004-08-12 10:01:00 The thing is, autologin works on ILikeLinux's forum (Which runs phpBB), on my forum (Also phpBB), and a different forum (Invasion Power Board) Megaman (344)
260854 2004-08-12 10:27:00 As it happens Mozilla (1.7.2) retains the cookie and will autologin Megaman (344)
260855 2004-08-12 11:01:00 What are your Firefox cookie settings because without the cookies auto-logon won't work. mikebartnz (21)
260856 2004-08-13 09:41:00 well I've set it to ask for cookies, and I allowed pf1 to set one, so now it works :)

Thanks for all the help :)

260857 2004-08-13 09:57:00 Hi Megaman,

Under Cookies in Firefox you can go into "Exceptions" where you can block or allow. I've put in 'pressf1.pcworld.co.nz' and clicked on "allow."
When I click "clear cookies", those I have got "allow" or "blocked" never get wiped.
I don't get asked if I want a cookie from them, even though I have ticked ask for cookies.

By the way, there are 5 cookies: jiveThreadRange//JSESSIONID//jiveTimeZoneID//jive.user.lastvisited// jiveMessage Range.
Why do they need 5 of them and what is "jive"?

Marg.
