261269 2004-08-13 15:20:00 I rang Faults one day not so long ago and said "I have been ranging 123 and nobody their seems to answer the phone, I have been waiting half an hour or more", anyway, it was a lot quicker ringing faults than 123 to get my Telecon problem solved.

I rang Telecon once to report a pay phone that was unable to be used, and all the Telecon person could say was "well use another phone then" very clever person I was using another phone.

261272 2004-08-13 22:13:00 Telecom facing showdown over internet deal
14 August 2004

The country's internet providers look set for a regulatory showdown with Telecom after the Commerce Commission yesterday labelled a wholesaling deal proposed by Telecom as inadequate .

Telecom presented an internet wholesaling deal to the commission late last year in a bid to stave off the threat of having its copper wire network opened up to competitors .

Its anti-unbundling lobby was successful, but Telecom is now offering its competitors an inferior service to the one it originally outlined, according to the Telecommunications Commissioner Douglas Webb .

And they continue to skew the feild of play .
