| 261655 | 2004-08-14 09:09:00 | Hi, After eulogising elephant now come reality :-) I have very successfully voice contacted as well as typed(chat) contacts on msn - I recently had Godfather explain about voice delay and echo Over the last few days - long before elephant got here, found a red X in the slide volume control when invited to talk - and now the Mic slide is in shadow- what have I done ----NOW ?? :_l I was told that if I clicked the icon on the bottom tool bar marked "C media mixer" that the mic off on switch is in there - I do NOT have such an icon I am using XP In my W 98 SE days I was able to turn on/mute etc, a large number of controls- now to find them would they be? effie c |

| 261660 | 2004-08-14 10:53:00 | I know you have win XP, but in case it is anything like Win 98 here are the steps for that. Right click speaker icon*open volume controls*options*properties*click the options you want where it says "choose the following volume controls". |

| 261661 | 2004-08-14 11:58:00 | In WinXP. Start, Control Panel, Sounds and Audio devices and Audio Tab what devices do you have listed under sound recording? While I was at your place today never heard a sound out of anything. Bear in mind I did not check this and turned off computer and opened box to insert RAM. Both cables were pulled from mic and speakers so I could get at the box. |
