| 261877 | 2004-08-15 02:05:00 | Google. Have had it that way for years,before that i used altavista. As to why? It loads fast,Its the best search engine,I find the image search handy,and i make extensive use of their News section. But mainly becaue it loads fast and gives results. |

| 261879 | 2004-08-15 02:14:00 | i don't use about:blank as spyware progs keep flaging it as a possible hijack. with IE i just use windows update site. however as i use opera 99.9% of the time its set to pcworld.co.nz but opera is set to "start with no page" which makes things a whole lot easier exspecially when veiwing offline pages. |

| 261882 | 2004-08-15 04:37:00 | Hi, Mine used to be set to quicksilver, my server, and it had a google search thingy on it [handy] also news etc. but it was taking a bit long to load. Now I'm on 7am.com which shows the news headlines for all over the world using many different news sources, mine comes up on NZ and I just switch to the world or whatever afterwards. Also has headlines re technical stuff so can follow up computer news. This site loads up fast as well. Now I'm using Firefox as browser it's got the google seach bar on it so don't need it on the home page. Doesn't have to wait for all the little boxes etc to open. Marg. |

I have mine set to NZ City http://home.nzcity.co.nz/ > not just what but why?? hmm, it has got news, weather ,TVlisting ,Horoscopes & all most every thing else you want from a home page & some times it has special features depends on the time of year e.g. it has a section on the Olympic Games etc... & you can customize the page to the way you want it as well e.g. different colours etc... |
