262095 2004-08-16 02:48:00 This was a little mishap that happened over the weekend.
the slip it was clearing pushed it over the edge.
it only rolled twice, and landed on a ledge, just wide enough to save it,
before the hundred metre drop to the river, the person walked away from it very white thanks to a seat belt.

10 to 12 tonnes at a guess beet.

Never known a digger driver to wear a seatbealt before, except Bobcat's which have a harness but, it's not a bad idea as they say it is best to stay with the machine (easier said than done). My sole experience opertating tracked vehicles ended in embarrassment and a vow of never again. If you want lessons on how to tip a Bobcat onto its nose then within an hour upend it onto its back, to the amusement of a gathering audience, I'm able to advise you :8} It'll cost plenty though.
