261919 2004-08-15 22:31:00 I woke to a northern hemisphere Christmas card picture outside my window. Very pretty...
Dunedin's heavy fall waited until last night...and in spite of sunshine for the past hour, there's still 3inches of snow on my lawn & few road traffic noises.
Looks like an *inside jobs* morning - once I've cleared the snow off the bird-feeder, as they'll be struggling to find their own breakfast today.

261920 2004-08-16 00:43:00 it was amazing watching it fall last night. The scafies had a great time. It was the first snowfall many of them had seen. The snowball fights kept me entertained for ages:D 4bes (2848)
261921 2004-08-16 04:04:00 We still have a lot of snow on the ground and the roof. A number of small trees and shrubs have been damaged and fallen across the driveway, I have just spent the last hour cutting them down and clearing away the mess. Still quite a bit more to do. Water is still pouring off the roof as the snow melts, I don't think it will all be gone by nightfall. An unexpected bonus is that the house is warmer than usual because the snow has sealed the tile roof and the roof space is not the usual collander that it normally is. I would say that 4-6 inches of snow was laying on the ground at mid-day. zqwerty (97)
