262124 2004-08-16 04:48:00 When I select a MP3, a bit of the previous one plays before the new selection plays. It almost makes me think of the way a dj would want the next song to be ready. This is driving me insane. All the new songs I've downloaded lately are OK. At first I thought a hacker changed the names of the songs but then I realized what was going on. I've installed the latest Winamp. It was playing up and I removed it. I have Win XP Pro as OS. Can anyone help? TE4CHR (3498)
262125 2004-08-16 09:47:00 What version of Winamp did you have installed? Latest is 5.04

As regards to some tracks creating a problem and other newer ones not, are they all MP3 Files, Are they all in the same directory or on the same hard drive?
What antivirus protection do you have?

Did you recently upgrade Winamp, if so what version were you using previously? Did this problem occur in that version?

Post Back , I'm in Pukekohe as well so technical help isn't far away!

262126 2004-08-16 10:21:00 You're using the direct sound for your output, and it fades out and fade in..what not...Goto preferences - output and then click waveOut output..all you need to do is click it..and its all good MrBeef (342)
262127 2004-08-17 12:02:00 Latest winamp; no previous version as I just put in a new harddrive; all MP3 files; 2004 Norton Antivirus Professional.

262128 2004-08-17 12:07:00 I've removed winamp and if I click on a MP3 it still does the same when playing on the Windows media player. Where do I make these changes? TE4CHR (3498)

262131 2004-08-17 13:39:00 Oh geez fella's, Its known as Crossfading!

Windows Media Player does it too....

I cant remember the hotkey in WinAmp to turn it off, but its a piece of piss to do, no mucking about with outputs and what-not!

I say:
Stick with WinAmp, but turn off the Crossfader :-)

Chill.

262132 2004-08-17 14:17:00 Crossfading is off. What's crazy is that only some MP3's r doing it. This computer must be jinxed!!! TE4CHR (3498)
262133 2004-08-17 15:23:00 Weird problem. It might be the MP3's themselves - I've heard of Recording Industry people putting bum files out there deliberately to confuse downloaders Greg S (201)
