262482 2004-08-17 08:05:00 dont worry ppl i got it goin now, it was this lil application called notepad.exe which opened IE, i deleted it and made the .txt file open with notpad.exe and now it seems to be fine, im surprised that spybot, adaware,or avg never picked it up Patrick 2003 (277)
262483 2004-08-18 02:09:00 So some "person" substituted a piece of nasty code for NOTEPAD. X-( Nice of them to leave the real one. But you have been attacked. Rename notpad.exe to notepad.exe. I'd be inclined to use ATTRIB to set all .exe and .com files to readonly. It might stop some sabotage of this sort. The *nix "immutable" attribute is even stronger. Graham L (2)

262485 2004-08-18 06:43:00 OutHost = Browser Hijacker and whatever else might accompany it.

Removal Tutorials (www.net-integration.net) Hijackthis and CWShredder are probably your best friends.
